Holy crap, are you effing kidding me???
I guess this is the reason I don’t read the Hot Air blog. One of their bloggers actually wrote this about President Obama’s speech at the Tucson memorial last week:
[T]he White House wrote the speech, and apparently added “applause” indicators into Obama’s speech that the university put on the Jumbotron in their captioning for the audience.
What that actually was, believe it or not, was closed captioning indicating that the President received applause — a live, on-the-fly transcription for the hearing-impaired. Not that he was calling for applause.
Ed Morrissey is an idiot. What is most mind-blowing is that he put a video in the blog post which, if you watch it, shows the [APPLAUSE] showing up after the applause actually happened. Doesn’t take much of a genius to figure why that is.
On the other hand, after this, nobody will accuse Ed Morrissey of being a “genius”.
