CITIZENS TO ANNOUNCE MAJOR STATEWIDE ACTION AGAINST MICHIGAN’S CONTROVERSIAL EMERGENCY MANAGER LAWOver two dozen citizens from across Michigan will announce, on Wednesday, June 22, a major action directed against Michigan’s controversial “emergency manager” law. There’s no news to report yet on what this is about but there are two facts that leap out at me: (1) each of the cities is one where the imposition of an EFM is either already in progress or is very likely (except the capital, Lansing, of course) and (2) there are lawyers at each one of them.
