Wait, you don’t get PAID to do this?!
Hello, folks. Today is Day One of the second quarter fundraising drive at Eclectablog. As you probably know, this is not a paying gig for us. We make a little bit of money from advertisements like the one at the top of the page but, aside from that, what we do is done for free.
So, four times a year for a week, we come to you, hat in hand, and ask you to show us some love and drop some folding money into the tip jar. For regular readers, I don’t have to tell you that Eclectablog is literally the best site on the internet for getting Michigan and national political news and commentary from a progressive perspective. Here you’ll get a unique perspective on the days’ political stories, news not being covered by other media outlets and, from time to time, breaking news and exclusive reporting.
How much is that worth to you?
Since the first quarter, I have brought on the most-amazing LOLGOP. His writing, as you probably have come to realize, is spectacular and it’s been a joy to see his work blossom outside of the 140-character limit of Twitter. So now you’re supporting TWO bloggers at Eclectablog.
To sweeten the pot a bit this time around, we will be doing a drawing from all contributions of $25 or more for one of five Barack Obama photomosaic posters (view the poster HERE) signed by the artist, Anne C. Savage. In addition to that, one lucky contributor will receive a brand new iPod nano. All donations received by Monday, April 30 are eligible.
