Michigan Center for Progressive Leadership offers Local Candidate & Campaign Manager training – Deadline May 15

The Michigan branch of the Center for Progressive Leadership is taking applications now for their summer Local Candidate and Campaign Manager training. If you’re considering a run for office in Michigan or are interested in helping to run a campaign, this training is for you. Though I have never taken the training, I know many people who have and they all rave about it. Details are below, deadline is May 15th.

You can be a part of this progress. Plan now for your role in leading change.

Below is information about Center for Progressive Leadership’s summer Local Candidate and Campaign Manager training which will run from June through September. It’s one weekend a month for three months (June, September and October) and is a great way to get progressives on the path to elected office. Details about the program and a link to the application are below.

Additionally, we are excited to hold this summer’s training in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Interested people from around the state are encouraged to apply.

Center for Progressive Leadership believes in change and leadership from the ground up.

The Local Candidate and Campaign Manager Training Program is designed to help leaders develop the skills and resources they need to advance progressive change through local elected office. The Michigan Local Candidate Training Program helps individuals who want to lead progressive political change in their community through local and state elected office.

This three-part comprehensive training program provides the nuts and bolts of putting together a winning campaign for local and state office, as well as developing effective leadership skills necessary to advance progressive change.

Goals of the Program
This program is for individuals who are planning or interested in running for elected office in the next five years or who are or will be serving as a campaign manager for a candidate. CPL’s training program includes four comprehensive workshop weekends, peer mentoring, Personal Political Leadership Planning, and coaching.

The cost of this training is $300, though partial scholarships are available.
