As regular readers of Eclectablog know, the Netroots Nation conference starts on Thursday morning (with some events happening Wednesday night.) Tomorrow I’ll post about the various activities that Team Eclectablog is involved in but I wanted to be sure that all of my progressive pals in Michigan are aware that there’s still time to avail yourself of the discount being offered to Michigan residents. All the information you need follows, courtesy of the fine folks who are making Netroots Nation happen.
This Thursday through Sunday, one of the biggest political events of the year will take place in Detroit (and you’re invited): the ninth annual Netroots Nation conference.
As a Michigan resident, full conference passes and day passes are available to you at a discounted rate. Click HERE for more information or to register.
Speakers include Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Debbie Stabenow, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Rep. Keith Ellison, Rep. Gary Peters, Rep. John Conyers, Mark Schauer, Rev. William Barber, and many more.
A full conference pass ($195) includes access to:
- 80 panels including a track of Michigan-focused sessions
- 40+ training sessions on topics like online organizing and grassroots campaigning
- Special events like a Q&A session with Gov. Howard Dean
- Tons of social events, networking opportunities and more!
Day passes are also available for $99. Vice President Biden will speak on Thursday, and Sen. Warren will speak on Friday. Day passes include access to all panels, trainings and events that day as well.
Nearly 3,000 activists, grassroots organizers, and progressive leaders will be at Netroots Nation this week. I hope you will be among them.

PS: There are also volunteer opportunities available. If you’d like to volunteer and receive further discounts, email volunteers@netrootsnation.org.
