At Netroots Nation 2014, I explained why I think Obamacare is a winning issue for Democrats — and what we can do to help.
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare. And I’m a firm believer that Obamacare is a winning issue for Democrats.
To make the case for this, I had the honor of being one of the speakers chosen to present an Ignite talk at Netroots Nation in Detroit as part of the closing keynote session. The Ignite format works like this: You have five minutes to speak, accompanied by 20 slides that advance automatically every 15 seconds.
As regular readers know, I’ve been telling Obamacare success stories since last year, including my own. But Netroots Nation gave me the chance to spread the word in an entirely different way, and provide others with the tools to share the success stories you just don’t hear in the mainstream media often enough.
My five-minute Ignite talk is below. I hope you’ll follow my lead and tell stories like these, too, whether they’re yours or someone else’s. They can help Democrats who support Obamacare win in November — and beyond.
And they might just convince doubters to enroll in coverage when open enrollment begins November 15, too.
