Sandra Fluke was thrust onto the national stage when she was visciously attacked on the radio airwaves by odious bloviator Rush Limbaugh. Now a state senate candidate in California, Fluke is a rising star in the Democratic Party. But, like so many of us, she knows we have a big problem in this country: too few young people are voting which means their important voice isn’t being heard in the political arena and, as a result, their views are less likely to be represented in our local, state, and federal governments.
Fluke released a video recently that is aimed squarely between the eyes of young voters. She has a compelling message and I hope that if you’re a young person, you’ll take three minutes to watch and listen. And then share it with others.
Take it away, Sandra:
Fluke’s website is StandWithSandra.org.
(Fun fact: Sandra borrowed my iPhone charger backstage at Netroots Nation in 2013. I haven’t washed it since ; )
