The 12th Congressional District, now Represented by Dean of the House John Dingell and soon to be represented by the incredible Debbie Dingell have a long history of staging a massive get out the vote (GOTV) operation on Election Day. They run vans all across the District to make sure no Democratic voter stays home.
This year is no exception. From now until Election Day they are working hard to ensure a killer turnout. In addition to the volunteer opportunities listed below, they are also hiring canvassers for Tuesday, November 4th. The shift runs from 2:00 p.m. until the polls close at 8:00 p.m. and pays $40 per person. If you are interested in participating, you can go to www.TurnOut2014.org or call 734-404-VOTE.
Between now and Election Day, there are many opportunities to get involved as a volunteer, as well. Take a look at the list below and pitch in as much as you can. Volunteer as if the future of our state depends on it.
