In the past week and half, Michigan gun owners have made the news for improper use of their handguns several times. First, concealed pistol license holder Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez saw a guy running out of the Auburn Hills Home Depot and load stuff in his vehicle. When a security guard came running after him. Duva-Rodriguez took the law into her own hands by pulling out her handgun and firing multiple shots at his vehicle. Police confirmed that she herself was never threatened.
She’s now being charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, a misdemeanor that could result in a maximum 90 days in jail and a possible fine of up to $500.
Then, a week later, a fender bender in another metro Detroit Home Depot resulted in the owner of one of the vehicles being shot to death by the owner of the other vehicle. The perpetrator there has not been apprehended yet.
Then, yesterday, another CPL holder, Marchea McDougal, got into an argument with another person over her driving. The man then threw a drink either at her car or in her face (depending whose side of the story you believe.) When he was back in his truck, McDougal took out her handgun and fired it at his vehicle. Police later found bottles of oxymorphone, oxymorphone hydrochloride, oxycodone, diazepam, and cyclobenzaprine pills in her car. She’s being charged with assault with intent to murder, felony firearm and possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance. She could end up with life in prison.
All of this is obviously just more evidence that what we really need in America is MORE GUNS! MORE! MORE! MORE!!!
