The Los Angeles Times has had enough of President Bannon and his toady Donald Trump attacking journalists, saying they should “keep its mouth shut” and calling them the “enemy of the people”. They have a new line of swag called the “Free Speech Collection“:
In the collection are two different styles of t-shirts and mugs:
They sent out an email with links to the swag with the subject line, “You can shut us out, but you can’t shut us up.” This is in reference to the fact that the LA Times was one of several media outlets like Politico, CNN, New York Times and Buzzfeed that were denied access to a White House press briefing recently.
The Washington Post has responded to Bannon’s and Trump’s attacks, as well. They recently changed their masthead to include the phrase, “Democracy Dies in Darkness”:
Greener’s Law says, “Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel.” These days, I would include people who have millions of webpage views a day, as well. Donald Trump will soon learn just how bad an idea it is to wage a war on the media. In fact, you could argue that he already has.
