Mirror, mirror on the wall…
In one of the snidest, most nasty press releases I have ever read, the Romney campaign engaged in a round of psychological projection that is truly transcendent. It’s clearly an effort to take Mitt Romney’s Achilles Heel and then attempt to smear President Obama with the same tar brush.
The result is so comically laughable that even those on the right have to be giggling about it:
The Obama campaign is like one of those gyrating, intermittent lawn sprinklers, spewing out attacks in seemingly random directions, hoping to get somebody wet somewhere but hoping even more to talk about anything but the unemployment rate, federal debt, gas prices, or rising health insurance premiums.
I’ll pause why you finish laughing…
This is coming from a candidate that even one of the farthest right (and most ignorant) Republicans, Louie Gohmert, said this about:
If you’re not sure about whether to support Mitt Romney, whether you’re liberal, or whether you’re very conservative, you ought to be excited, because he’s been on your side at one time or another.
It’s gotten so bad that the media is now talking about “Flip-Flop Fatigue”. In other words, Romney has flip-flop-flipped so many times that nobody believes him anymore or holds him accountable for anything he says.
Mitt Romney changes his direction and his opinion almost hourly. It’s the second thing anyone thinks about him right after how insanely rich he is, particularly for someone who is “unemployed”. Suggesting that the Obama campaign, one of the most laser-focused and streamlined in the history of politics, is scattershot and not talking about the issues is the clearest case of psychological projection that I have ever witnessed.
Someone get this man to a therapy couch! STAT!
