Drunk with power
Michigan male Republican legislators seem to have no filter when it comes to dealing with opposition. If they think it, they say it.
And tweet it.
Here’s Saugatuck Rep. Bob Genetski, talking about the blowback the GOP men are facing after Reps. Lisa Brown and Barb Byrum were banned from speaking on the House floor for uttering the words “vagina” and “vasectomies” and the monster rally held at the Capitol on Monday on Twitter:
Excellent FACTUAL video http://t.co/cuifSoSY on Mi HB5711 – radical, nutty people (& the media) are getting carried away on this one! #GOP

Radical, nutty people. I’m told he put it on his Facebook page, too.
These guys just can’t have a civil debate without calling their opponents names, can they? The one thing I noticed about Brown and Byrum and Senate Majority Leader Whitmer and the other women who have been outspoken on this issue is that they don’t resort to calling their political opponents childish or insulting names. They speak to the issues.
Genetski also had this to say:
“This is a state rights story and they are trying to make it an attack on women and a national issue,” said state Rep. Bob Genetski, R-Saugatuck, during a Holland Chamber Governmental Affairs breakfast this week for West Michigan legislators.“The only attack on women is on the ones that are currently living in the womb,” he said.
This dude needs an anatomy lesson if he can’t tell a fetus from a woman. But, really, it’s his tone-deafness that is the most striking.
Michigan male Republican legislators: drunk with power and completely out of touch.
By the way, speaking of drunk, this is the same guy that got arrested for drunk driving in East Lansing in January and then refused a breathalyzer test.
Leadership!
Drunk with power, indeed.
