Help us continue our efforts to educate and engage.
You know how this post ends: We’re going to ask you to make a donation.
But allow me to write a few words about why it matters.
Eclectablog’s contributors live and work in the communities we endeavor to serve. Whether you live across the street or across the state — or even across the country — everything we write about impacts every one of us directly.
At Eclectablog, though, we take it a step further. When we’re not blogging, or working at our day jobs, we’re actively engaged in our communities. We volunteer for candidates and causes we believe in. We look for ways to take our passion beyond the blog, to help create the kind of positive change that can make Michigan and the United States better places for everyone.
We do these things because we care deeply. Chris Savage, in particular, cares enough to pay his contributors, something countless other blogs do not do.
When you donate to Eclectablog, you’re making it possible for us to educate and engage others — raising awareness of the positive and productive, and shining a light on the dark and dastardly.
Our activism starts here, and it extends into our communities, across the state and around the country. That’s the kind of dedication to democracy your donation supports.
There are three ways to donate.
1. You can make your donation using the PayPal link below. You can change the amount if you’d like.
[donateplus]
2. You can wait until the TinyPass pop-up pops up (every tenth click on the site) and donate that way. If you do that, the pop-ups will go away as long as you have cookies enabled. Again, the default amounts for annual or monthly donations can be adjusted to whatever you choose.
3. If you would like to send a check, send Chris an email and he’ll give you the address. This is them most beneficial way for us because it avoids the Paypal and Tinypass fees that are taken from contributions to the site.
If you can’t afford to support us financially, you can still help. Please share our content on your Facebook page or other social media like Twitter, Reddit, Google+, etc. Put a “Like” on our Facebook page and click the “Invite friends” button and encourage your friends to like us, too.
Thanks so much,
Amy, Chris, Anne, LOLGOP and Gary
