Allegan County Tea Party head: Ouster of Cindy Gamrat the same as 9/11 attacks, Michigan Republicans worse than terrorist jihadists

by

Cindy Gamrat got elected in Allegan County largely because there is such an active tea party presence there. Her over the top politics are so in-sync with this group that even her lying and philandering weren’t enough for her to lose their support. In fact, the head of the Allegan County Tea Party, Stephen Young, told WZZM, “The question now is can Ms. Gamrat represent us effectively in Lansing anymore because of this indiscretion. And the answer is I think she can. I know she can.”

Young is pretty upset that Gamrat was ousted of the legislature, mainly by her Republican colleagues. Okay, “upset” is too mild a word. He’s so enraged that he’s gone completely off the rails. Their actions, he said on Facebook, are – I’m not kidding here – akin to the 911 attacks:

Not only that, Young, an ordained Baptist preacher and nuclear engineer, told WOOD-TV that the Republicans who did it are “far worse than the terrorists who attacked New York” because they fund abortions.

Stephen Young, chairman of the Allegan County Tea Party, stands by the post he made on the page. He told 24 Hour News 8 that Republican Party Leadership continues to finance abortions, resulting in far more deaths than the 9/11 attacks.

“The Republican Party leadership is far worse than the terrorists who attacked New York,” Young said. “Millions killed by Republican leadership, versus thousands by terrorists.”

Young believes Gamrat was removed for her strong stances on issues like abortion.

“(Gamrat) made a huge mistake, there is no doubt she made a mistake — but that’s not why she was removed.”

Derp.

It says a whole lot about Cindy Gamrat that her most ardent supporter is a 9/11 conspiracy theorist who thinks the current cohort of Michigan Republicans are worse than Islamic extremist jihadists. No wonder she felt so empowered in her attempt to turn Michigan into a full-blown theocracy.
